We have been partners with Gary & Judy Woods as they have served the Lord in Tanzania for the past several years. As you know, they are retiring after more then 30 years in Africa. They are making one last "loop" to see many of their supporting churches before they settle in their new home in the Portland, OR area.
The Woods will be here at SCF on Monday, July 9th. We will share a "pot blessing" meal at 6:00 pm and then Gary & Judy will have a short program, followed by time for Q & A. They will stay as long as people have questions or want to stay and visit with them.
Because of all the travel they have to do, they will be leaving on Tuesday, July 10th. The time will be short but we can make it be sweet by sharing a rich time of fellowship with them. Please save this date and plan on being part of "an evening with Gary & Judy Woods."
On Sunday, July 17, we will be "Celebrating Dads" here at SCF. We will start with breakfast served in the Fellowship Hall from 9:00 - 10:30 am. Pastor Rick will be teaching on "Celebrating Dads," with a focus on how parents can start now to ensure the legacy they will leave behind. Looks to be a great morning so please come join us as we worship the living Lord and celebrate Dads, all at the same time.

Chris and Laura Wiggs are the founding and Lead pastors of Reach Church in St. Louis, Missouri. Along with their daughters Jaylie and Lydia In August 2017, they took a leap of faith and moved to the St. Louis area with a dream of planting a diverse, life-changing Church for everyone. They did not knowing where they would live or how they would provide for their family. Miraculously, though, God provided every step of the way! The dream to start a Church in St. Louis has been growing in their hearts for years, and they are excited to finally see it come to pass. Chris and Laura have been ministering together for over a decade and believe that God has purposefully placed them in St. Louis to REACH people for Jesus! Interest meetings and team building have already begun, and Reach Church plans to launch in September 2018! He and Laura met while attending CBC in 2003 and have revitalized Churches in Missouri, Arkansas and Kentucky.
On Sunday, June 24th, we will be honoring Pastor Keith Mackey as he retires from his ministry here at SCF. Though he has only been with us for a couple of years, Pastor Keith has touched and blessed many lives along the way.
Pastor Keith will preach at the morning worship celebration, which will start at 10:45 am. Immediately after the service, there will be a "pot blessing" meal in the Fellowship Hall, with Keith & Carolyn as our honored guests. Plan on staying for the meal, and bring a dish or two to share with the worshiping family.
As a way of saying "thank you" to the Mackeys, there will be a Money Tree available. Simply add your card to the tree as a way of helping send them into their retirement. If you include a check in your card, please make it out to the Mackeys.
If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Rick or call the church office at 751-2154.
