The Book of Acts tells us that the early church "...devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer" (2:42, CSB). We believe that model is still relevant and effective in making disciples. In fact, this was the method Jesus used in discipling his followers. As they lived life together with Jesus, they learned from both his teaching and his life.
Our goal for Community Groups is for you to experience "...the fellowship" with other believers in Jesus Christ. The design of God is that when a person places their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and are baptized by the Holy Spirit into the church (which is the Bride and Body of Christ), they become part of a family that is gifted by God to love and serve one another. As our relationships with one another grows, we learn and help each other in our journey of faith and following Jesus.
Community Groups will use RightNow Media's Adult Bible Study Roadmap as curriculum for their studies. This series follows four areas of study: discipleship, life-application, scripture study, and community & relationships.
